Battle Block Theater is the new game from The Behemoth, the studio founded by Tom Fulp, who was known as the founder of the popular flash site Newgrounds.com. After the well-received by critics, Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers is the studio with his new game, which they again want to dominate the Xbox charts. This game also has a style and atmosphere which, if you've played the previous games, feels immediately familiar. Can Battle Block Theater also in quality along with his predecessors?
When you start the game, you will be greeted by a very enthusiastic narrator that explains that you - after you with all your hundreds of friends on a boat trip was - betrayed by your best friend. As you walk through the levels, then you will collect green gems and balls of wool to more and more new goodies - such as weapons or new heads for your character - to unlock. Battle Block Theater performs just proven concepts very well, without really adding something special. At least on game play area then.
In terms of presentation, the game does a lot more, and seems fresh humor which The Behemoth is known by. The narrator is present throughout the game and has constant observations on the way you play - and me more than once laughing out loud. Especially when I came across a secret area for the first time, I was in stitches. Purely because the narrator so very enthusiastically began singing with the music.
The graphic style of this game looks exactly like that of Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. But I think in this game humor much better than in the previous games, purely due to the narrator who made me laugh again and again.
I have good time with me Battle Block Theater. If you want to collect the many extras and at every level of the A ++ - want to get status, you are about twelve hours with the game fresh. If you simply runs through the game, the game time equates to about six to seven hours. You can also create your own levels and share them with your friends, which gives quite some extra fun.
